ANKLEBITERS

.: turtleneck, mum's | skirt, romwe | booties, lipstik :.

Hello! So this was taken quite a while ago now and I'm not too sure why I didn't post it sooner.
I really enjoy dwelling on this apartment building because the view from the top is amazing, and you can see over the residential housing of Glebe and probably even the city too.
I've been quite preoccupied lately though now that I look back on it - I'm not sure how this month (or even year actually) has passed. There have been so many birthdays during August and I think with the celebrations that have occurred, I've come to value my current friendships more than I already did. ^_^

I don't have much else to say, and am stressed about the assignments I have due (textiles on Friday, Dystopian essay on Monday) #RIPme so I think I will go and focus on that now!
I hope you all have an awesome week.

Ciao for now,

FORCES

Hey everyone!
This was taken on the ramp leading down to my apartment carpark and I'm in love with the minimalist and industrial look that it produces. The lighting is always great there and I only realised the absolute potential for this location when shooting photos of Nina in May earlier this year. I'm really confused at how these Aldi trolleys (I live no where near an Aldi) ended up in my carpark, but hey they make a really good photo prop!
Over the past few weeks I've inched into being a TV junkie, I caught up with Suits (am in love with this show so far, the characters never cease to interest me), watched the whole of Fresh Off The Boat (hilarious, somewhat relatable to all you Asians out there), Freaks and Geeks (had post-F&G-depression after finishing this, definitely lived up to expectations) and lastly, a couple episodes of Parks and Recreation which hits my sense of humour right on the spot! Really recommend any of these shows!

Anyway, I hope you all have an amazing week,

POLAROID MEMORIES #1

Hey everyone!

So a while ago I got an ask.fm message suggesting I post about things I adore/glimpses into my life and this is probably the best representation of that! My Polaroid is something that I couldn't imagine not having, each photo having a nostalgic, clean and vintage feel.
They have made an appearance on my Instagram every once in a while and I honestly don't even know why I haven't done post like this in the past. (So cheers to that anon for the suggestion! ^_^)
Anyway, these are Polaroids that have been taken in 2015 so far and are in no particular order. I had so much fun putting this together and it's pretty cool to see how my year has progressed!
I am currently waiting for the holidays to come around, though at the same time I am dreading all the work due before that point, so really I am this brain-dead mess at the moment.
I hope everyone has had a good week so far!

CHANGE OF SEASONS

.: jacket, vintage | dress, don't ask amanda | booties, lipstik :.

It's the start of winter here in Sydney but I swear these photos reflect the passing autumnal season.
I've been snuggling up in my mum's vintage outerwear and coats for the past few weeks and digging up goods from her wardrobe is actually such a satisfying feeling. Not to mention the clothes are warm as heck too.
When I think back on the last couple of weeks, there's nothing that particularly stands out to me. Life has been rather dull recently which isn't necessarily a bad thing because I guess it's given me time to think about starting some new projects. I've really loved using Pinterest and I'm so annoyed that I didn't decide to start using it earlier! I used to think it was pointless since I had Tumblr already but literally it is the greatest way to sort out project ideas and inspiration in neat groups. If you guys wanna see what I've been brainstorming upon, check it out here -->  https://www.pinterest.com/shannisun/  and I'll make sure to follow any of you back ^_^
I've also been doing some fun personal photoshoots with my friends as well which I am thinking of a way to display sometime in the future. Would you guys be interested in seeing shoots I take of other people? Let me know !!

Anyway,
I hope you all have a lovely week! I'm off to school camp tomorrow and I'm quite excited!

BITTER WINTER

.: sweater, mums | skirt, romwe | backpack, asos | booties, lipstik :.

Hey everyone!!! Wow, it's really been a while. I have been studying for my exams for the past 2 weeks and I am so glad to be back on social media. And while I was gone.. I chopped all my hair off! It's such a nice feeling having shorter hair, and it feels much more healthier too!
Anyway, this is a school-esque outfit and honestly haven't worn a V-neck in like, forever. I usually wouldnt opt for it, but I really like how this sweater goes with this outfit. And after a really really long bag hunt (I am really picky with buying bags because I rarely find ones I like) I FOUND THIS ON ASOS. I love structured bags because it feels really good when you can just pack everything in tightly, almost like tetris. This one also is a good balance of shine, it's like an in between of patent and matte which I love.

I hope you all have a fabulous week!

(P.S. The song title is a song by San Cisco, it's been stuck in my head all week, and honestly the winter right now in Sydney HAS been bitter, and bipolar. Tragic.)
